Jammu, Aug 7: While another case of abuse and roughing up of a bureaucrat by minister has come to the fore, this has led to another speculation that how fast the alleged offending minister would get the clean chit of such inauspicious act of blasphemy that left an upright bureaucrat to resign from his post.
Since the inset of NC-Cong combine in the state many cases have been surfaced regarding dominance of minister upon their officials that has left the scene unruly, later to extend clean chit to the ministers while taking task to the honesty.
In the recent case a Chief Engineer, PHE Kashmir Muzaffer Ahmad Lanker in full administrative view at the chambers of PHE minister Sham Lal Sharma was roughed up and abused by the CAPD minister Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan that led to the unruly scene that came close to fisticuffs even, lest the other officials came into the brawl to douse the fire. Later chief engineer submitted his resignation, the incident likely to be taken up by some committee for probe, only later to prove the minister not-guilty.
Certain such case came as an apparent truth when the chief minister Omar Abdullah was given clean chit in Haji Yousaf murder case and Sajjad Ahmed Kitchloo was given the same in Kishtwar riots. Though his slapgate case against his subordinate is still in line for deliverance of the justice, political experts are already of the view that Kitchloo would come clear from that case also.
Given such incidents committed by ministers on their subordinates and escaping scot free has given a notion that Omar government has earned a notorious distinction of clean chit givers to his erring ministers. |
