PDP for regularization of PHE workers, protests against State Govt | | | Early Times Report
Samba, Sept 3 : Alleging discrimination and suppression of agitating daily wagers by Congress-National Conference (NC) coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) workers today staged a protest and burnt the effigy of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to register their protest. Led by party candidate from Samba constituency, Sunny Sangral protesters alleged that poor daily wagers who are not being paid for months are being victimized by the state government. Addressing the protestors PDP’s contesting candidate blamed government for the crisis forcing people to face drinking water shortage for last 72-hours across Jammu and other major towns of the region. He also expressed his anguish against the anti-people policies being followed by the State Government and failure to start regularization process of the daily wagers who were promised regularization in the department. Sangral also warned authorities to block National Highway if government fails to solve the issue of the protesting PHE daily wagers and ensure that people get drinking water supply. PHE workers union president, Swarn Singh was also addressed the protestors while Pawan Singh, Babu Singh, Lucky Sambyal, Jaswinder Singh, Sahil, Neeraj Gupta, Kuldeep Singh and Sudhir Singh were also present in this protest. |
