Pertinent to mention here that a case u/s 307/504/323 RPC (FIR 79/14) was registered against the above said accused following the complaint of his wife Zareena Begam a mother of four children. Zareena in her complaint to police has alleged that her husband has been physically and emotionally abusing her for the last many years on one or other pretext. The neighbours rushed to her help and thereafter Zareena alongwith her family members went to Manjakot Police for help. "Even the matter of their strained relations was several times raised in the village panchyat and was resolved by the Panchyat but the victim (my sister) who is an Aganwari worker failed to get due financial support to meet the expenses of her four children from her husband" lamented the brother of the victim. He demanded immediate arrest of the accused and also appealed to the top leadership PDP not to support Mohd Saleem.
