| Television Software Makers constitute committee | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 3: A joint meeting of the producers and directors, technical crew, writers, artists, singers and other persons related to media held meeting under the presidentship of Sudhir Singh Jamwal and constituted a body Television Software Makers Joint Action Committee (TSMJAC) to fight for the due rights of all such media persons who are related with Doordarshan.
.The meeting urged upon the Prasar Bharti and Ministry of Home Affairs to give a balanced approach vis-a-vis. DDK Srinagar and DDK Jammu. Facts reveal that Doordarshan fvendra Jammu is being given a step motherly treatment since its inception in comparison with DDK Srinagar. He said DDK Jammu is putting out Four hours service for six days I week and one and a half hour transmission on Sundays.
Even' Regional Keandra has the same transmission hours including DDK Srinagar but DDK Srinagar gets the budget five times more than DDK, Jammu, and the most unfortunate part is that DDK Jammu is still called as "PGF Jammu" in official records of Directorate.
The Kendra caters eight languages and has fulfill the aspirations of lacs of people as a public service broadcaster DDK Jammu has die distinction that its progammes are being viewed across the borders of Rajouri, Poonch and Samba but still it is PGF and the staff strength in so many departments is NIL.
Effective steps are required to be initiated so that the bottle necks are removed for smooth functioning of the Kendra, This shall also remove the anguish and unrest in Duggar Civil society. |
