Court directs SSP Jammu to take action against IO | Failure to submit FSL report , appearance in murder case | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 6 (JNF): In the investigation of murder case of one Ishwar in which the case came to its final conclusion, the Investigation Officer neither appeared in the Court nor submitted FSL report. Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Rakesh Sagar Jain took serious note of it and directed SSP Jammu to take action against the investigating officer for dereliction of duty. While directing SSP Jammu, Court observed that perusal of the challan shows that the investigating officer during the investigation had found strands of hair under finger nail of the deceased, as per the challan investigating officer during the investigation had taken hair strands of the accused Roshal Lal for FSL purpose and it is surprising that till date neither investigating officer nor the prosecution has presented the FSL report. It is apprarent that same has been done deliberately otherwise there was no reason for the investigating officer to present the FSL report and directed prosecution to produce investigating officer as well as FSL report on next date of hearing and also directed SSP Jammu to take action against the investigating officer for dereliction of duty in not filling the FSL Report. This direction has been passed in a murder of one Ishwar Dass in which accused Roshan Lal was facing trial for the last 3 years. |
