Live grenade defused 11/6/2014 11:47:36 PM Early Times Report Rajouri, Nov 6 : Army defused a live grenade today which was found in river bed in Nowshera tehsil . Rakesh Kumar , ASP said that the grenade was rusted and might have moved to the area along with recent flash floods. Kuldeep Raj , SHO , Nowshera said that in the late hours on Wednesday some people collecting sand from from a rivulet at Khit Hakima (Rajal) spotted the grenade and informed the police in the morning today. The matter was discussed with the army authorities and a bomb disposal team was rushed to the spot and after taking every possible security measures the grenade was defused on the spot. Sources said that the grenade may belong to Indian army and might have been abandoned live during operation against the terrorists many years ago. Reliable sources said that the grenade was Pakistan made and 84 and lot No. HE was embossed on it.
