15 day Winter Cricket Camp concludes | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 15: The first 15 days’ Winter Cricket Camp of Yuvraj Singh Cricket Academy, today concluded at K.C Sports Club under the supervision of Senior coaches from the Academy. 58 budding cricketers from Jammu and Kashmir participated in the Camp in order to upgrade their skills in the game. The Camp was organized inside the indoor Cricket Hall of K.C Sports Club which has the distinction of having day and night Cricket playing facilities. The trainees learnt a number of techniques in both batting and bowling from the experienced coaches. They also received intensive practice with the Bola bowling machine which is installed in the hall in order to improve the budding talent. In addition to all this, fitness, net practice and fielding sessions were also conducted during the Camp. The specialized coaching was given by four expert coaches, namely, Amar Singh, Vishal Bhatia, Amit Yadav and Vivek Singh. Amar Singh was the official coach for BCCI in 2009 and is currently engaged in coaching Delhi state’s U-19 team. Vishal Bhatia has been a regular member of Himachal Pradesh Cricket team in 1st class circuits. He is an orthodox left arm spinner who has more than 50 1st class matches to his credit. He has also represented north zone in the famed Duleep and Deodhar Cricket tournaments. He has also played professional cricket in England and Israel. Amit Yadav is an NIS qualified coach while Vivek Singh is a senior Ranji player as well as the Assistant coach of J&K Ranji team. Yuvraj Singh is likely to visit and interact with the budding Cricketers of Jammu in February this Year. |
