Jammu, Jan 25 : Leader of Opposition in RajyaSabha&Former Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir has conveyed warm greetings to the people of the country as well as State of Jammu & Kashmir on 66th Republic Day, which is being celebrated across the length and breadth of the country with traditional fervor& gaiety. Azad also conveyed special greetings to the members of the Armed and Paramilitary Forces who play a vital role in maintaining peace and safeguarding the territorial integrity of the country. While congratulating the people, Azad said that we are deeply indebted to the visionary and farsighted leadership of the country who, at the time of attaining independence, visualized a constitutional framework for the country that could set us on the path of democracy, economic progress, scientific development and social change. "Our country is widely being acknowledged as an emerging global power and the credit for the accomplishment of this remarkable feat goes to the marvelous leadership of the freedom struggle, as they could envision a constitution which facilitated and enabled the forward march of the country", said Azad. On this auspicious occasion, Azad prayed for the peace, prosperity, progress of the country and its people. |
