AWICT distributes books, stationery items among girls | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 22: Aditi Welfare India Charitable Trust (AWICT) on Wednesday distributed books and stationery items among needy students of Government Girls School of Gorkha Nagar-Bahu Fort, Jammu. "The event was organised to help and motivate the girls from poor families to continue their studies and was part of AWICT initiative to promote gender equality. The stationery was handed over to the students by Aditi Sharma, president of Trust, who is also a prominent social workers and women- child right activist along with her team. Aditi, on the occasion also said that trust will continue to prove the aid to needy students, so that they can continue their studies. She also asked that students to opt good habits in life and study well to achieve desirous goal in life. On the occasion, AWICT appointed Leela Jamwal as in-charge of entire Bahu Fort areas which comprised of ward Number 47 and 48 to promote the activities of Trust. Speaking on the occasion Leela expressed gratitude for being elected as in-charge. She also vows to help the need and poor children and women. Other who is presented on the occasion was Vivek Patayal, Ravi Chatry, Beena, T.S.Slathiya, Bhanu, Archna Sharma, Vicky, Nittu. Later, the trust served mid-day meal to children. |
