Udhampur, Apr 22: The ongoing strike started by the Safai karamcharis in support of their long pending demands today entered into 4rth consecutive day in Udhampur.
Safai Karamcharis of Municipal Committee Udhampur held a darna at outside the MCU Office Udhampur and amid slogans in favor of their demands and against state government.
The protestors were demanded the agitating employees to regularize all the daily wagers, enhancement of pay at par with other state employees and two and a half day extra pay.
Due to ongoing strike of Safai karamcharies unhygienic atmosphere prevailing in the city, entire Udhampur town converting into garbage dump as the garbage not being lifted from various parts of the city by safai karamcharies of the Udhampur Municipal Council. Among those who participated in protest and addressed the gathering were Girdhari Lal District President, Pappu, Vice President, David Secretary, Yosuf,Pholi, Maziad,Ravi, Vickey, Aslam, and Sadiq. |
