JAMMU, July 25 : Beating Heritage School by golden goal in the final, Roller Athlete Skating Club Jindrah today lifted the Sub-junior boys' roller hockey title in the ongoing State Roller Skating Championship at Shiva Roller Skating Institute, Peer Kho, here. Earlier, the neck of neck contest ended in a 1-1 draw with Saksham netting the first goal for Heritage and Ekalavya bringing in the equalizer. However, in the five-minute extra time, Roller Athlete Club managed first goal, again scored by Ekalavya, to win the title clash. Meanwhile, in senior men's event, Roller Athlete Club Jindrah and Addiction Roller Hockey Club have made it to the final after winning their respective matches in the three-team league round played today. The final is scheduled for tomorrow at 5 pm. Earlier, in the league round, Roller Athlete Club defeated HC Classico Club 10-7 while Addiction trounced the same team of HC Classico Club 6-4. In the meantime, members of the Jindrah Club appreciated the efforts put in by Club coach, Narinder Malhotra in raising competitive sides. This tournament is organised by Jammu and Kashmir Roller Skating Association under the supervision of general secretary, P P Singh and guidance of president of the Association, GS Khurmi. |
