JAMMU, July 25 : Pacca Danga Cricket Club (PDCC) lifted the title trophy of cricket tournament, which was organised by a group of young men at Bahu Fort, here. In the final, PDCC outplayed All Round Club by a margin of five runs. Earlier, batting first, after All Round Club skipper, Monty Sagotra won the toss and opted to field, PDCC set a target of 58 runs losing all their wickets in eight overs. In reply, All Round Club bowled out for 52 runs thereby lost the game by five runs. Tarsem Kumar was declared man of the match for his all round performance of four wickets and 27 runs. Tarsem was also adjudged man of the series with 10 wickets and 76 runs in three matches he played. This tournament, wherein eight teams contested on knock-out basis, was organised by Raghunandan Singh Charak, Vinod Shavotra, Rajat Singh and Arjun Verma. In the final and prize distribution function, senior BJP leader, Rajeev Charak was chief guest, who gave away the title trophies and other individual prizes. He appreciated the winning team, especially Tarsem and complimented the organizers for holding the event successfully. |
