Srinagar, Sept 17: In a unique way of Protesting, fair Price Shop holders of the department of Consumer affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) beating drums alleged concerned Minister, Chowdhry Zulfikar, of Regional bias.
Protestors beating Drums and Shouting anti government slogans here today said that they are without Salary from last 18 months and the Minister for CAPD, Chowdhry Zulfikar pays no heed to their long
pending demands despite cabinet nod.
"Our Regularization was cleared in a Cabinet meeting during previous NC-congress coalition, but Chowdry Zulfikar seeing only people from Kashmir suffering pays no heed to our demands, he is loyal for People of Rajouri only, every time we approach him he cuts excuses just to
avoid us." Said one Protestor
The drum method of protest, according to the agitating employees is a deliberate and pre planned method to shame government in a traditional manner so that concerned authorities are shamed at every front for their misdeeds.
Protesting employees terming PDP-BJP coalition a failure said that Minister's Like Chowdhry Zulfikar does not deserve to hold the chair of a Minister as according to them he only listens to what people of
Rajouri conveys to him and pays deaf ear when anybody from Kashmir approaches him with his problems. "We are here today only to shame the government, particularly Chowdhry
Zulfikar who does not release our salaries due to regional bias, our Children are being driven out of schools due to non-payment of fee,but who cares here."Said another Protestor
Protestors said that PDP committed a biggest mistake by joining hands with BJP,a party which according to them was not even visible in Hindu Majority region,Jammu, due to their anti people policies.
They said Ministers of BJP create Hurdles every time government plans to benefit people of Kashmir by one way or the other and this rift with the government office bearers has turned life of common masses
like Hell across the state.
The protesters tried to march towards shopping hub of Srinagar,Lal Chowk but already posted Jammu and Kashmir police personnel's fanned out to thwart the procession resulting in a confrontation.
Many protesters were bundled in police vans for detention while as others who managed to rescue themselves from Police grip on the spot beating drums caught attention of passerby with their actions.
The protestors demanded that Chief Minister, Mufti Muhammad Syed must personally intervene in the matter and alleged that Chowdhry Zulfkar Ali unleashes cruelty on them for his regional bias.
