Petrol pump seized, owner held for selling adulterated oil

Kishtwar, Sept 24: Kishtwar police lead by SHO Kishtwar Sameer Jeelani in presence of Tehsildar Kishtwar Daljeet Parihar seized Shaheed Ishtaq Petrol Pump located at Sangrabata Kishtwar, beside also booked its owner Mushtaq Ahmed Sheikh on the alleged charges of adulteration in diesel being supplied to the vehicles.
As per the details available with "Early Times", two vehicles bearing registration Nos JK01S-9980 of Faiz Ahmed son of Addullah resident of Natipura Srinagar and JK14A-7121 of Ravinder Thakur son of Baij Nath resident of Chatroo refill their vehicles from Shaheed Ishtaq Petrol Pump Sangrabata in the morning and while moving some distance, the engine of both the vehicles stop functioning and while checking the vehicles, the drivers found that the diesel supplied by the petrol pump owner was adulterated resulted into non functional of engines of both the vehicles. After coming to know about the supply of adulterated diesel by the petrol pump, the matter was brought into the notice of Kishtwar police who rush to the spot to inquire the matter. After preliminary investigation, the complaint lodged by the two drivers with police found genuine and accordingly Tehsildar Kishtwar was requested by police and accordingly the petrol pump was seized in presence of Tehsildar Kishtwar. The samples of petrol as well as diesel were also collected and sealed in presence of the magistrate and later same were dispatched to FSL laboratory for checking. On the basis of complaint lodged by the vehicle owners, Kishtwar police register FIR No 164/2015 under section 420 RPC, 3/7 E.C Act at police station Kishtwar against the owner of the petrol pump and started its investigation. The employees working at petrol pump informed police that only hours before the seizer of the petrol pump, the diesel tanker was unload at the petrol pump and they suspect that the diesel supplied by the company might have adulteration, added that owner on its own did not make any adulteration.
