Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 24: Expressing its grave concern over damages to the part portion of ancient Shailputri Temple (commonly known as Devi Bal) situated along Baramulla, Uri Road during a recent incident of land slide, the Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K today said that damages to this religious place has hurt the religious sentiments of the community.
JTC and SKF president Shadi Lal Pandita while addressing a joint meeting of the two organizations said that this temple was a place of religious faith and continues to be the same despite mass migration of Kashmiri Pandits 26 years back but still the religious sentiments of the community are intact with this ancient place of worship.
During the meeting the participants made an appeal to the community to come forward for repairs and restoration of the damages caused to the Shailputri temple while the state government was also urged to take up renovation work.
