CAPD realizes Rs. 46,900 from defaulters

Jammu, Sept 24: On the direction of Minister for CAPD Zulfkar Ali and under the supervision of Director CAPD Jammu G. S. Chib, two teams were constituted to carry special drive for marketing checking/Inspections on the eve of ensuing festivals. One team led by Deputy Director CAPD Supplies Atam Dev Singh alongwith other officers and the second team led by Mumtaz Mirza Assistant Director.
Both the teams conducted 150 inspections/market checkings of Meat and Chicken Shop, Halwai Shops, Provisional Shops, Karyana Store, Dhabas and Restaurants and Bakery Shops in the areas of Toph Bridge, Talab Tillo, Shoping Centre, Bakshi Nagar, Rehari Colony, Sarwal, New Plot, Canal Road, B.C. Road, Panjthirthi, Sidhra, Nagrota, Kacchi Chawni, Narwal, etc and booked 47 defaulters and a fine amounting to Rs. 46,900 was recovered on spot for violation of various provision of Essential Commodities Act.
