Bikram Chowk shootout: 2 held with country made pistol
2 accomplices of Sunny Baba also held

Jammu, Sept 24: Police today claimed to have arrested four accomplices of Sunny Baba from different areas of the city.
Police said that Gandhi Nagar police today arrested two accused who were involved in a shootout at Bikram Chowk in which the brother of an undertrial in murder case had sustained bullet injuries.
Police also recovered a country made pistol along with motorcycle from them.
Police said that on August 20, firing incident took place at Bikram Chowk in which a person namely Ranjeet Singh son of Dayal Singh of Satwari received bullet injury on his left leg. A case under FIR No 210/2015 and under sections 307, 341/34 of RPC and 3/25 Arms Act was then registered at Gandhi Nagar police station.
Police spokesman said that during course of investigation several raids were conducted at various hideouts of accused persons but they evaded their arrest.
Today on a specific information a special nakka was established at Gole Market Gandhi Nagar during which two accused persons namely Supreet Singh alias Raja son of Devinder Singh of Dalpattian Mohalla and Babbar Khan alias Babbar son of Ghulam Nabi of Bhawani Nagar Talab Tillo were arrested along with motorcycle bearing registration number JKO2AE-7615 which was used in the offence by the culprits. "The weapon of offence was recovered from the possession of Supreet Singh", said police spokesman adding that the arrest was made by PSI Sumit Magotra in-charge Police Post Nehru Market.
Meanwhile, Bakshi Nagar police arrested two accomplices of Sunny Baba including paramedic who escaped with Sunny Baba from Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) on August 22.
Inspector Ashwani Sharma, SHO Bakshi Nagar under the supervision of SDOP West Vivek Shekhar, SP North SK Chouhan made the arrest. The arrested persons have been identified as Manav Pawar, a paramedic and resident of Tanda and Amit of Jeevan Nagar.
Police said that further questioning of all the accused is on to trace Sunny Baba.
