Bail denied to accused in 'fake currency notes' case

Jammu, Sep 24: City Judge Jammu M S Manhas today rejected the bail application of Shabir Ahmed Najar and Abid Sadiq who were allegedly involved in running of fake currency note rackets from whom 1, 88, 000 fake currency notes were recovered. After hearing Senior PO Anushman Dubey appearing for the state, City Judge Jammu M S Manhas observed that the from the perusal of CD File it reveals that both the accused were interrogated by the police and they have revealed the names of three more persons who were allegedly involved in the series of events and their arrest and interrogation is yet to affected and if the accused are released on bail, will surely affect the further trial of the case. With these observations Court rejected the bail application. (JNF)
