Jammu, Mar 17: There seems not much difference between leaders of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and Ministers of NC-Congress coalition Government as instead getting all the ongoing development projects completed, its leaders are busy in inauguration spree of new projects, despite the fact that major development projects in Jammu are craving for attention.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh was found in news headlines, when he kick started various developmental works including black topping of various roads worth Rs. 6.3 Crores, construction of Nursing College, sanctioning Rs. 43 Crores for bridge at Jathan, Indoor Stadium at Billawar and several other project works in his home constituency Billawar but he seemingly forget the projects, which were claimed to bring back the sheen of Jammu province.
A hotelier of Jammu said that it was most unfortunate that BJP which claimed to represent entire Jammu province is restricted to some pockets. "Ambitious development projects of Jammu Artifical Tawi Lake, Renovation of Mubarark Mandi Heritage Complex, Multi Tier parking complex at Bus Stand, Ropeway projects, Patnitop Gondola project and Asia's Botanical Garden, Bhour Camp are crying for attention but BJP legislators are busy to inaugurate new projects", he said, adding that one step forward two back, seems fit in this case.
He further said that the former Minister of BJP Dr. Nirmal Singh has so far reportedly initiated more than worth of Rs. 200 Crores development projects in his constituency but already started works during NC- Congress regime in Jammu and its adjoining constituencies have become orphan to political apathy.
Another hotelier of Jammu said that after the inauguration of Train to Katra, there was an abrupt decline in tourists in Jammu and given the very slow pace of development projects in Jammu, there were remote possibilities that the business depends on tourists in Jammu would survive.
