GMC Rajouri due to efforts of Omar, Jan, Thakur: NC

Poonch, May 17: Taking a hard dig at PDP BJP led state coalition government, National Conference here has alleged that government is claiming the credit of those projects which were started by previous government and also said that Government Medical College in Rajouri is only due to tireless efforts made by Former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and two NC MLAs including Ajaz Jan from Poonch and Thakur Rashpal Singh from Kalakote Rajouri. In a joint press statement issued, senior leaders and chairperson of National Conference including Bhushan Uppal, Manzoor Ahmad, B R Sharma, Ashok Sharma, Bansi Lal, Raja Bashir Khan, Pushpinder Chadda, Rattan Lal , Jagdev Singh , Ch Gulam Rasool ,Satpaul Choudry, Qazi Mod Sayeed Beig and others asked state coalition government to claim for those project which are planned by them and not for those which were brought in day light by previous government and present coalition is only laying foundation stones. Government Medical College in Rajouri is a prestigious project but PDP BJP government is only laying foundation stone of the project but this project is prevailing due to sincere efforts of National Conference leaders. "Initially UPA government sanctioned three GMCs in Jammu and Kashmir after which than MLA Poonch Haveli Ajaz Jan and MLA Kalakote Rajouri Thakur Rashpal Singh, despite being ruling party MLAse, created uproar in JK assembly and pressed the demand for GMC in Pir Panjal region also " press release quotes. "The then Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also supported this issue and raised the matter before than Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad who later sanctioned two more GMCs in state including one in Rajouri for Rajouri and Poonch district " it added. NC leaders also said that there are rumors in air among the people of Rajouri over the selection of site for GMC Rajouri which shows that something fishy is there in the site of GMC and this apprehension needs to be addressed.
