Ramban, May 17: A day long convention was held by the J&K Reserved Categories Employees Association (JKRCEA) of Chenab valley wing in support of their demand for continuance of reservation in promotion for the SC,ST, and RBA employees in Ramban today.
In the convention it was demanded that the 77th,81st and 85th constitutional amendments be adopted; restoration of the earlier reservation structure ; implementation of the relevant Supreme Court Order and passage of a bill reserved category employees either through the Assembly or through the cabinet ordinance.
Later the members handed over a memorandum to the DDC, Ramban, Mohd,Aijaz Assad in his office ,to be conveyed to the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti .
Joginder Singh Rai, Dr.Sanjay Bhasin, Subhash Chander, Haji Mohd. Yousuf, Ramesh Kumar, Shakeel Singh Bhagat, Girdhari Lal and Gulzubair Deng were also present during meeting. |
