Participants in ‘Swachh Bharat’ Pakhwara honoured

Jammu, May 17: Little ambassadors of ‘Swachh Bharat’ Campaign who participated in various competitions like Painting & Essay Writing during conduct of ‘Swachh Bharat’ Pakhwara from Ist May to 15th May, 2016 were honoured by AGAnsari, General Manager, Salal Power Station today.
A simple function was organised at Conference Hall wherein among others, Shri Prakash, Chief Engineer (Civil), Senior Officers of NHPC, students, parents and teachers were present. Pertinent to mention that a number of activities like Massive ‘Kar Seva’ in Jyotipuram and village Mar (Reasi) with local participation, ‘Nukkad Nattak’ at Govt. High School, Gran Morh, Esaay writing / Painting Competitions for students, Inspection and Repair of Sanitaryt facilities for workers in Offices and Colony, Weeding out of Records as per Record Management Policy were organised during conduct of ‘Swachh Bharat’ Pakhwara.
Earlier, J.K.sharma, Manager (HR) welcome all and gave a brief of the activities conducted during Pakhwara.
On the occasion, employees and students of KV who participated in Essay Writing and Painting Competition respectively on various subjects of Energy Conservation were also honoured with mementos.
Speaking on the occasion, SAnsari expressed his happiness about the participation of small children in Swachh Bharat Campaign launched by Prime Minister of India. He further advised the students to inculcate the habit of cleanliness and sought their involvement in cleanliness drives in groups to motivate others to be part of the campaign. He also suggested simple tips like ‘Switch Off Something’ for the students to save energy.
