Jammu, May 17: The football team of J.P. World School Channi, Jammu, has brought laurels for the school by winning under-17 Inter School Football Tournament organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports from May 12 to 17 at GGM Science College Ground, Jammu. It is noteworthy that J.P. World School team reached in semi final after defeating Maharishi Vidya Mandir, by 3-0, G. D. Goenka Public School by 3-1, and Heritage Public School by 4-1. Semi final was played between J.K. Public School and J.P. World School in which both the teams played very well but J.P. World School won the match by 9-8. In final match, there was a tough competition between Jodhamal Public School and J.P. World School that went up to tie breaker. In tie breaker, J.P. World School team defeated Jodhamal Public School by 3-1. The six players of the team- have been selected for state level competition to play in Jammu District Team. On arrival in school, the winning team along with the team coach Abhimanyu was given a warm welcome by school chairman Nagar Singh, the Managing Trustee along with school administration. |
