Pakis rationalise their frustration
8/16/2016 10:34:42 PM
Pakistani flags were aflutter in Kashmir during the independence day of India's neighbour. People in Kashmir waved black flags on August 15 to register their protest against India. Pakistan High Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit, has said that Pakistan was dedicating its independence day to "Azadi" in Kashmir. Pakistan has announced that it would send medicines and food for those injured in clashes with the security forces in Kashmir. These are indications of frustration and Pro-Pak elements, including the separatists besides Pakistan are trying to rationalize their frustration by adopting anti-India stance. Their frustration is writ large otheir faces as they have not been able to what they call liberation of Kashmir from the occupation of India. Which is wrong. Kashmir has acceded to India under a normal and constitutional procedure hence it is a blunder on the part of Pakistan to call Kashmir occupied by India. And there was no other way for India but to hit back at Pakistan for proposing to send supplies to Jammu and Kashmir. It bluntly said India and others in the region had received enough of Pakistan's trademark exports, including international terrorism, cross-border infiltrators, weapons, narcotics and fake currency. And India has described Pakistan's proposal for sending supplies to Jammu and Kashmir as "absurd." And India has rightly completely and categorically reject this purported communication from the Pakistan foreign Ministry. The India-Pakistan narrative seems to have touched a new low with Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit dedicating Independence Day of Pakistan to the independence of Kashmir. He made these comments at a function at the Pakistan High Commission here on Sunday. The Congress called Basit's remarks the "greatest breach of diplomatic etiquette", while BJP's Shrikant Sharma said, "Pakistan is speaking out of frustration after Modi showed it the mirror over atrocities being committed by its army against people in PoK and Balochistan. "With both countries hurling accusations and counter-accusations at one another on an almost daily basis, the much hyped dialogue that was supposed to start with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Lahore stopover last December seems to be a closed chapter. It seems that Pakistan's frustration has touched a new high with Modi asking Pakistan to vacate Occupied Kashmir. Frustration is writ large on the face of Pakistan after Modi blamed the Pakistani forces for committing atrocities on people in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and Baluchistan. Pakistan's frustration peaked when India turned down Sartaj Aziz's offer for talks. Hence Pakistan has dedicated its independence day to Kashmir's Azadi. It has opened dire in Poonch border as a gift on its Independence day on Sunday. Waving Pakistani flags on August 14 and black flags on August 15 has been a normal routine in Kashmir. Knowing that such a display of their frustration will not liberate Kashmir still the separatists, militants and their supporters keep on rationalizing their frustration through waving of black flags on August 15 and Pakistani flags on August 14.
