Bachpan Tiny Scholars celebrated Green Day

KATHUA, May 5: Green Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in the Primary wing of Bachpan Tiny Scholars at Jawahar Nagar Campus today.
School Chairperson Manisha Gupta was present as Chief Guest. Students came to school dressed in pretty green attires and looked eco friendly. The classrooms were beautifully decorated in green theme and all the green objects from a child's immediate surroundings were brought to the class rooms. Theme based programme was prepared by Sonika Jasrotia, Anu Rajput, Nisha, Sonali Gupta under the overall supervision of Coordinator Jyoti Sharma.
School Chairperson Manisha Gupta said Ist and 2nd standard students were taught the identification and recognition of green fruits, vegetables, leaves and trees. Many activities and games pertaining to green colour were organised for the kids.
Children brought green snacks and eatables in their tiffins. The classrooms were beautifully decorated with flash cards, balloons & green objects. A few students come dressed up as live models of green objects such as raw mango, frog, grapes, capsicum and recited related rhymes.
'Show and Tell' Activity was conducted where children brought one green object from home & spoke a few lines in front of the students on the same. Students also explained the different virtues of green, its importance in the National Flag, Traffic light, and School logo.
Green Day was a practical learning experience for the children and was very enjoyable. Bachpan Wing Coordinator Monika Sharma, Bandu, Sadna, Sonali, Sonika Jasrotia, and others staff members were also present.
