SIS Hiranagar lifts U-17 Boys' Football Trophy

Jammu, May 7: The Department of Youth Services and Sports Kathua organised the competitions of football for under 14 and 17 years boys during ongoing Inter School Zonal Level Tournament being organised under the directions of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kathua Subash Chander Bhardwaj and supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer Hiranagar Yog Raj Sharma at Sports Stadium Hiranagar on Monday.
A total of 63 players of zone participated in today's event. Meanwhile, Sai International School Hiranagar lifted the under 17 years' boys' football Trophy by defeating Infant Jesus Higher Secondary School Hiranagar by 2-1 goals. Earlier, Infant Jesus Higher Secondary School Hiranagar outplays Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Hiranagar by 3-0 goals and Sai International School got bye in first round. Two teams comprising of 31 players of zone Hiranagar were selected for further level of competition to be organised by the department in coming days.
Technical panel comprising of Avnesh Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Rakesh Kumar Raju and Sanjay Sharma officiated the matches. Sudha Jasrotia, Subash Chander, Narender Choudhary, Sohan Singh, Sikander Singh, Vijay Bharti also present on the occasion.
