Inter School Zone Level Tournament concludes

Kathua, May 11: The Inter School Zone Level Tournament for under 14 and 17 years boys and girls concluded here at Sports Stadium Hiranagar. The tournament was started on April 26 in which competitions of Kho-Kho Kabaddi, Volleyball Wrestling, Football, Table Tennis, Badminton, Tennis Ball Cricket and Cricket were organized in which a total of 999 players of various schools of zone Hiranagar participated.
The tournament was inaugurated by Sub Divisional Magistrate Hiranagar Suresh Sharma (KAS) on its first day and later Zonal Education Officer Hiranagar Bhagwan Dass also encouraged the players during tournament.
The tournament was organised under the directions of District Youth services and Sports Officer Kathua Subash Chander Bhardwaj and under the supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer Hiranagar Yog Raj Sharma.
On its concluding day, trials of cricket for under 14 and 17 years boys were held. The technical panel comprising of Rakesh Kumar Raju, Omkar Singh, Subash Choudhary, Jagadish Chandra, Naresh Pal finalized the list of under 14 and 17 years cricket teams for next level of competitions to be organised by the department of Youth Services and Sports in coming days.
