Jammu, May 11: Even after directions from High Court for lodging FIR in alleged kidnapping and rape against five persons, Mandi Police took eleven days to register the case. However, earlier, the police also refused to lodge FIR in this connection despite lodging of complaint by complainant around four months ago forcing the complainant to knock the doors of court for justice. After waiting for around four month, the complainant moved to High Court for registration of FIR and on 25th of April, Justice Alok Aradhe issued directions to SHO to register the FIR against the accused persons. On 7th of May, Police registered a case under FIR no. 35/2018 under sections 366, 376, 342 and 109 of RPC at police station Mandi of Poonch. However, the FIR was registered on 7th of May, police has still failed to arrest the accused which clearly speaks about the approach of police. |
