Radio Mirchi organises screening of "Veere di Wedding"
6/3/2018 11:04:00 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, June 4: Radio Mirchi Jammu, organized a special screening of the movie "Veere di Wedding" exclusively for ladies at Wave Cinemas, Jammu on Saturday Evening.
The event was star studded affair with the glitz and glam and who's who of Jammu present at the screening, with the red carpet rolled out for the Ladies attending the special screening. A total of 408 women attended the event, marking an astounding success for a first of a kind event in Jammu. The movie was preceded by a small introduction by RJ Shwetima, who welcomed all and set the tone for the evening.
"This is one of only a few occasions, around the world, where a screening has been specially done only for women and their girl gangs and thus puts Jammu on the world map, for the right reasons. The movie seemed apt for the event as it celebrates modernity and femininity" said Radio Mirchi Programming Head Khushboo Mattoo, who conceived the event. She added that through events like these women are encouraged to go out and enjoy and are able to take out time from their busy schedules and daily lives. This event marks a second special screening done by Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, which had done a similar special audio screening in November on Children's Day for Blind Children, within 6-7 months of its launch in Jammu.
The attendees were ecstatic and enjoyed the evening and commended Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM's initiative and hoped that more such events would follow. "They were extremely cooperative and enjoyed the games played during the interval", mentioned Mirchi RJ Shwetima. This was a free, limited entry event which managed a houseful in record time and the hosts plan to take this forward on a larger scale in the near future.
The event was done in cooperation with Wave Cinemas, Wave Mall Jammu and was partnered with Jammu Links News. This adds another feather in Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM's cap that is set to open up their second station in the state soon.
