| Controversial PSI, in-charge post hand in glove with land mafia | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 20: A controversial Probationer Sub-Inspector (PSI) is allegedly off and on seen in the police post in Jammu district where he had earlier served and in connivance with the incumbent in-charge of the police post threatening anti social elements of police action in lieu of monetary benefits.
Sources said that during the tenure of controversial PSI as in-charge of the said police post, he helped some land grabbers and in return land grabbers gifted them some plots in the same area.
"The said cop, when he was in-charge of the said police post, allowed some land grabbers to grab state land by misusing his official position and power", said a police officer wishing anonymity. He said that in return land grabbers gifted him some plots in the area falling under the jurisdiction of said police post.
The officer further added that the controversial PSI off and in visit the police post and guide the incumbent in-charge police post to call some people in the police post for threatening police action against them.
"After threatening them, the duo struck deals with them for monetary benefits", said the officer.
The officer further claimed that the duo has allowed so many illegal constructions in the area by misusing their position and if any one complains about the same, the incumbent officer misleads him by asking him to approach the revenue authorities. |
