| SAMBA, June 20: Member Parliament, Jammu-Poonch constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma today chaired a meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) to review the physical and financial achievements under various centrally sponsored schemes in Samba. In the meeting, Jugal Kishore Sharma directed the concerned officers to create awareness among the people about various centrally sponsored schemes being implemented by the government for the upliftment of the downtrodden sections of the society. He said the Central Government has taken one step after the other for the welfare of poor, marginalized, women and unemployed youth in the state. The members reviewed the physical and financial progress achieved by Rural Development, IWMP, Health, Education, PWD, PMGSY, PHE and other departments in the district. Regarding construction of bunkers in border areas, the MP directed to ensure the quality of work so that the purpose of providing safer places to the border residents in case of emergency can be fulfilled. He also directed to form a Committee to check the quality of construction work of bunkers. |
