Police, locals prevent 3 youth from joining militants

Kishtwar, June 30: Police on Saturday prevented three missing youth from joining militant ranks in Dachhan area of Kishtwar district.
Police sources told the "Early Times" that after hectic efforts, the Kishtwar police with the help of the locals, army and intelligentsia launched a massive search operation in the area and successfully managed to locate the youth who were in early 20s. The trio had reportedly left their homes to join the militant ranks.
Sources said that the youth are being questioned about the persons who were involved in luring and motivating them to join the militant ranks. "Major breakthrough is expected in the case as all the three youth are being shifted to Kishtwar for further questioning," they added.
Meanwhile continuing its drive against the "Azadi brigade", Kishtwar police today arrested two more persons in connection with the anti-India sloganeering on Eid ul Fitr at Kishtwar.
In case of arrest of two juveniles, Chief Judicial Magistrate Kishtwar granted bail to both of them after furnishing a bail bond of Rs. 40000 each. Both the juveniles are presently lodged in juvenile home at R S Pura from where both will be released by Sunday morning after finishing all the legal formalities.
