Jammu, June 30: Sixth Death anniversary of the iconic leader Pandit A.N.Vaishnavi was observed today by ASKPC and glowing tributes were paid to the towering personality of the community. Attended by a large number of prominent community representatives the speakers recollected the selfless contributions made by late Vaishnavi ji as a social activist. Chief Guest on the occasion, Prof. Ashok Aima Vice Chancellor Central University Jammu while paying his tributes to the great son of the Kashmiri Pandit Community, said that Pt. Vaishnavi Ji was a true nationalist and he in his lifetime did not confine his sphere of activity only among the Kashmiri people but was always ready to contribute outside the valley also. Guest of honour Prof. R.L.Shant while eulogising the simplicity of the great leader, appealed the community members to find ways & means of connecting with our younger generation, to propagate our cultural ethos, which was close to the heart of Late Vaishnavi Ji. Relief Commissioner M.L.Raina, paying his tributes, emphasised on the securing of future of our younger generation in the wake of exodus from the valley, which was only possible through the untiring efforts of Late Vaishnavi Ji who ensured reservation of seat in admission in various educational institutions in the country. Advocate Ravinder Raina, President All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference, while paying floral tributes to the ex-president of ASKPC, reminisced about his leadership qualities in making ASKPC as the premier representative organisation of the KP community. Among the galaxy of community stalwarts who attended & spoke on the occasion were Prof. A.N.Sadhu; Prof. P.N.Trisal, M.K.Jalali Sharika Peeth Sanstha, Kundan Kashmiri, Rakesh Koul Sampooran Kashmir, Kuldeep Raina Samajik Vikas Sanstha KPC, Chandjee BJP Kashmir Mandal, Vijay Kaskari AIKS, P.L.Pandita, T.K.Jigyasu, D.N.Kissu, Rohit Bhat, Ashok Kangan, Roshan Lal Raina, S.K.Dhar Samaj Sudhar,Sunil Bhat Jagati, Makhan lal BJP Mandal, Prof. G.L.Koul, Dr A.K.Koul KPS, Kewal Sher, R.K.Ganjoo, Shiban Khaibri & Rameash Hangloo from Radio Shardha. |
