JAMMU, July 23: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) today presented new progressive nukkad "Niyat Saaf Maksad Sahi" under its Monday Theatre series at Rehal, Bishnah.
It is not true that every member of our society is ignoring bad happening and social evils in the society. Majority of them do not encourage and support such bad elements.
We all condemn such happenings. Unfortunately every bad happening are not reported because of dishonour and bad name in the public and among relatives. Even legal unawareness is also a reason for it.
Social media is active in towns and big cities but not in rural areas.
A group of young person's forms a social setup to check certain social evils which get unnoticed by us in the society.
Even they help those people also with legal awareness and legal aid who are not aware of it. Domestic violence is also a social evil in our society. Koshalya, a house wife mother of two kids who is tortured harassed and beaten daily by her husband who is drunk in the evening.
She has developed a habit of tolerance but her children disclosed their domestic violence to their neighbour children and finally a Social Setup Group come to know about this domestic violence. The Social Setup Group got in touch with the accused and victim. They assured all possible help and sympathy to Koshalya.
Now it was turn of her husband who has created havoc for Koshalya and kids by his drinking beating and harassing them. He is warned about punishment he will get for his cruelty towards his family.
He is given of 24 hours ultimatum that he will be prosecuted for domestic violence if he will not stop it.
The accused person is ashamed of his doings. He apologized to his wife and assured Social Setup that he will never drink in future and will never ill treat his family. Koshalya is happy and thanked Social Setup Group for its help.
