S Tahir-ul Haq Early Times Report BARAMULLA, July 26: "We are about to get over aged but the authorities concerned are not bothered about it. Otherwise, they would not have retained the selection list of Class IV for last 12 years." This was stated by many aggrieved candidates who, in 2006 applied for various Class 4 posts under advertisement number 04/DDC of 2006, dated on 18-10-2006, under endorsement number DDCB/2006 class 4th/8522-35, dated 19-10-2006. The interview of the candidates was conducted but the selection list is yet to be released. One fails to understand why authorities are delaying the recruitment process. The concerned officials are making excuses on daily basis, said candidates. At the time of interview "I was expecting that in a week's time, the final selection list will be made public, but that was not the case," said Mohammad Altaf of Pattan. "Believe me, most of the candidates have crossed the age bar and I have wasted my precious 12 years hoping against hope that the selection list would be released soon. I feel sorry over my decision for staying here. I had got a job offer in Saudi Arabia," said another aspirant, Mushtaq Ahmad of Baramulla. On Thursday, the Services Selection Board (SSB) forwarded 35 selection lists to the government for 512 posts in different categories. "Irony is that the concerned agency has said that the same posts will be filled in a time-bound manner, and ours is still pending from last 12 years," said Mushtaq. |
