10/17/2018 10:05:02 PM
Early Times Report
Leh, Oct 17: Residents of village Nimmo in Leh have moved the court of law against president of society named Kunthus Tsogspa Konchok Gyaltson alleging large scale financial bungling by him.
As per the villagers, a registered society namely Kunthus Tsogspa of village Nimmo is handling the Revenue of the village from different sources such as River sands, Bari, Alrtel Tower Rent, Cafeteria' Rent, Magnet Hill Rent, Stone and Soils etc. which comes to about Rs. 7 lakhs annually; without any mandate and against the wishes of the villagers. In absence of lack of accountability, financial discipline and proper auditing the villagers suspect massive bungling to the tune of Crores of Rupees during last 8 years by the Tsogspa President .
The villagers submitted a representation to Chief Patron of the village Nawang Rigzen Jora, Patron, C. Phuntsog, IAS (Retired and Ex. Chief Secretary), Advisor to Community (Tsogspa) T Phuntsog , IPS ( Retd. IGP), and Advisor to Community (Tsogspa) Dr. T Norboo Surgeon (Retd) seeking their intervention in the matter with a copy of Financial Transaction to Manager JK Bank Nimmo to stop further transaction till the matter is sorted out properly within the ambit of the Kuntus Tsogspa constitution.
Patron C Phuntsog (IAS) and the other two advisors advised the Tsogspa President Konchok Gyalson, to sort out the problem with a credible auditing of the account , but instead of sorting out the issue the Tsogspa President resorted to pressure tactics to suppress the issue and indulged in other affairs of Nimmo village by unethical and irrational activities due to which serious difference developed among the villagers.
On this matter a complaint has been lodged in the court of Chairman District Legal Services Authority Leh on which president was summoned to the court but he was refused to attend the court thrice.
