Stone pelters forced to swallow bitter pill, face pelting on poll day
10/17/2018 10:45:55 PM
Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Oct 17: In a bid to make militants' and separatists' urban local bodies poll boycott call a success, the stone pelters were once again on a rampage in several parts of Srinagar city during the last phase of the voting on Tuesday.
However, the violent antics of the stone pelters had to face counter stone pelting from some of the voters who, when landed in few of the polling stations to cast their votes, came under a ferocious attack perpetrated by the agitated youth at the behest of their separatist masters.
Khoshipora and Brain-Nishat were two such localities where the stone pelters had to swallow their own bitter pill of stone pelting from the voters as the former tried to disrupt the polling by indulging in heavy stone pelting.
Even though the voters had to face the wrath of stone pelters but they did not cow down and maintained their calm amidst all the violence. The voters first cast their votes fearlessly and then gave a befitting reply to the stone pelters by throwing stones at them.
The voters at one of the polling stations got the inspiration to oppose the stone pelters in their own style and manner from a youth, who after seeing that the stone pelters were not ready to relent.
The brave heart youth then decided to pick up the stones thrown by the stone pelters and hurl them to the opposite direction where the crowd of agitated youth was standing. On witnessing the courageous youth's action, a few others joined him and started to throw stones at the violent mob.
