| 4 gamblers held with stake money of Rs 3,725 | | | Early Times Report
Samba, Oct 30: District Police Samba has intensified its drive against the social crime in the society on the directions of Dr. Koshal Sharma-SSP Samba and continuing the said drive, Bari Brahmana police claimed to have arrested four gamblers and recovered Rs 3725 as stake money.
Police spokesman said that acting on a tip off about gambling, special team from Bari Brahmana police station headed by Inspector Ravinder Singh Rakwal-SHO Bari Brahmana and under the direct supervision of DySP Sunil Kesar-SDPO Bari Brahmana raided the gambling spot at Ward No. 4 Bari Brahmana and arrested 04 gamblers alongwith stake money of Rs. 3,725 and playing cards from the spot.
Police identified the gamblers as Nitu Kumar of Palli, Mukesh Singh of Bihar presently staying at Bari Brahmana, Rajesh Kumar of Bari Brahmana and Satpal of Dhiansar.
Taking cognizance into the matter, all the gamblers were booked under section 13 of Gambling Act at Bari Brahmana police station. |
