Vacant plots become garbage dumping places | | | Ashwani Sharma Early Times Report UdhampuR, Nov 4: Investment for one person is becoming a nuisance for the entire locality when plots are in left neglected. These vacant plots have become garbage dumping sites and the people living in such localities face hardships. Foul smell makes life difficult for them. A local of Govardhan palace Udhampur said that a garbage dump at a vacant plot near his house has become a breeding place for mosquitoes and there is a risk of outbreak of dengue type disease. Sandhya Rani said that another such plot turned garbage dump near her residence in Between the city is giving shabby look to their and other houses in the locality. "Stray animals use to roam in such plots looking for something to eat in garbage and it is a threat for children as the street dogs there may bite kids playing nearby," Poonam-another local said. Some elders have viewed that the owners of these plots should do some construction over their plots or plant some vegetable there so that these plots may not become dumping places. Sangram Singh-a retired army officer said that such plots should be seized by the government as they have become a public problem and many times poisonous snakes were also seen at these plots. |
