JTC, SKF discuss issues of KP migrant community

JAMMU, Dec 3: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K was held at Jagti Nagrota under the Chairmanship of Shadi Lai Pandita, and discussed issues relating to Kashmiri Pandit Migrant Community in detail.
Addressing gathering, Presid-ent Shadi Lal Pandita said that KP expressed grave concern over the slackness of the authorities/ Government in meeting the genuine demands of the Kashmiri Pandit Migrant Community which included Return and Permanent rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandit Migrant Community in Kashmir Valley in 3 satellite townships near Srinagar Baramulla, Anantnag with grant of minority status/three assembly seats and one Parliamentary seat for this Kashmiri Pandit community, Implementation of Prime Minister's employment package for Kashmiri Pandit Migrant youth in letter and spirit by filling up remaining posts under this employment package, Grant of compensation of losses of properties suffered by the migrants in respect of and their properties situated in Kashmir valley at their native localities. Removal of encroachments of the private lands/properties as well as properties of religious shrines and places and others.
He said that a detailed representation dated 25.07.2018 was made to the the President of India Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Home Minister of India, the Governor of J&K highlighting the genuine demands of the community which was forwarded to the secretary to Govt. Ministry of Home affairs vide PMOPG/D/ 2018/0278122 dated 02-08-2018 and the Ministry of Home Affairs Govt, of India had been kind enough to forward the representation to the Chief Secretary to Jammu and Kashmir Government vide No: 16030/1/ 2018-K3/ 4 V3/4 dated; 25-09-2018.
Others who were present in the meeting include P.L. Thusoo, Rajkumar Tickoo, Kashi Nath Bhat, Sunil Koul, Mithan Pandita, ML. Amia, R.K. Raina, O.N. Raina, M.K. Bhat, Ramesh Kumar Bhat, C.L Pandita, Vinod Bhat, H.L. Pandita, Raj Kumar Bhat, S.L. Bhat, Ravi Pandita, Satesh Kumar, Tej Krishan and others.
