State Senior Volleyball teams leave for Senior National Volleyball C'ship

Jammu, Dec 28: J&K State Senior Volleyball Men and Women teams are leaving today on 29th December 2018 for participating in 67th Senior National Volleyball Championship for Men and Women to be held at Chennai from 02/01/2019 to 10/01/2019. Prior to proceeding for National participation, the teams underwent 9 days intensive coaching camp organized by Volleyball Association of J&K with the Collaboration/Sponsorship of J&K State Sports Council at M.A. Stadium Sports Complex Jammu under the supervision of Ravi Singh Divisional Sports Officer (J), J&K State Sports Council Jammu & Volleyball Coaches Sujad Hussain of Men team and Aashiq Hussain and Shubham Sharma of WomenTeam.
Sidharth Daluja President Volleyball Association of J&K and Vijay Kumar Magotra Hony. General Secretary of the Association of J&K wished the teams for achieving the good results in the National Championship besides providing uniform kits and track suits to all Participants for upholding the image of J&K State in Volleyball Game.
The Team consists of the following players/officials. The men team includes Rakesh Kumar of Udhampur District , Jorwar Singh of JKAP, Davander Guleria of Jammu District, Sat Paul of Samba District, Imtiaz Ahmed of JKAP, Rajinder Paul Singh of JKAP, Saqlian Tariq of Poonch District Romi Bhagat of JKAP, Farhat Jangir of Poonch District, Mohd Nazar Khan of Poonch District Ankush Kumar of Samba District. The members of women team include Neha Bhagat of Samba District, Shivali Dogra of Jammu District, Monika Bagal of Samba District Insha Bashir of Srinagar District, Bisma Riyaz of Srinagar District, Asifa Gulzar of Srinagar District Sedya Hussain of Srinagar District, Hritika Sharma of Samba District, Monika Bagal of Samba District, Meena Devi of Samba District, Reya Jamwal of Samba District and Rifat Choudhary of Jammu District
Veena Devi, Sujad Hussain, Mohd Tariq, Aashiq Hussain & Shubham Sharma are accompanying as managers and coaches of Men and Women teams. J&K State Men team is placed in Pool-C and shall play their matches against Gujarat, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Telgana in Men Section. J&K State Women team is placed in Pool-C and shall play their matches against Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan and Jharkhand in Women Section.
Abdul Qayoom Chief Sports Officer and Sh. Ravi Singh Divisional Sports Officer (J), J&K State Sports Council Jammu conducted the screening of J&K State Senior Volleyball Men and Women teams also wished the team for best of luck on the occasion.
