J&K PDC, Shaheen FC secure win on Wednesday

Jammu, Jan 16: In an ongoing 12th Christmas Gold Cup Football tournament two matches were played at the Science College on Wednesday. 12th Christmas Gold Cup Football tournament is being organized by All J&K Christian Welfare Association. In the first match of the day, DFA Anantnag took on J&K PDC. J&K PDC thrashed the opponents by 4-0. Aqib was the first to score in 37 minute, Tahfeem scored a stunner in 41 minute. Two goals were scored in first half and same were netted in second half by Dinaddin in 46 minute and Yasir in 49 minute. In the second half of the day, Arco Baramulla faced Shaheen FC. Vivek Singh scored the solo winning goal for the Shaheen FC in the 37 minute of the game. Shaheen FC kept most of the ball procession and hit the net in the first half of the match giving no scope of scoring for opponents in the match. Match referee of the match were Suresh Gupta, Ricky Kumar, Koushal Sharma, Rocky Sharma, Vijay Kumar, Dheeraj Meenia, Ajay Singh and Physio Mohinder Kalsi .On Thursday, J&K Bank Academy will face J&K Police in the first quarterfinal of the tournament in the afternoon.
