Regional Outreach Bureau Organises awareness programme of Swachhta

JAMMU, Jan 16: An outreach programme was organised by Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB) of Bureau of Outreach & Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India on 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' at Government Polytechnic College Auditorium, Jammu.
Member of Parliament ,Rajya Sabha, Shamsher Singh Manhas accompanied by Deputy Director, ROB, M/o Information And Broadcasting, Neha Jalali, Principal Polytechnic Arun Bangotra, Scientist Pollution Control Board Anuradha ,CEO Municipality KK Chalotra, Social Reformer, Councillor ward No 53 Jyoti Devi and Dr. Shreyansh Kumar Jain yoga instructor were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion MP Manhas said Swachh Bharat Mission is one of the most remarkable achievements of the present Government wherein the Government is all set to achieve the goal of rural as well as urban sanitation by constructing Toilet complexes throughout the country and spreading awareness. He added that and as of now most of state has been declared open Defecation-free which is the result of the successful operationalization of the Programme. He commended civil society and nodal Departments for playing an important role for the success of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
He appreciated the role of Media on this occasion who have been continuously advertising and promoting the programme thus motivating people for self cleanliness of surroundings and personal hygiene.
