Dogri Sanstha launches official website

Jammu, Jan 16: Dogri Sanstha launched their website on the eve of Platinum Jubilee at Press Club Jammu on Wednesday. Dogri Sanstha, the oldest and premier Literary Organisation of Jammu and Kashmir completed 75 years of existence this year. Ashwini Kumar, President Press Club and Zorawar Singh Jamwal, General Secretary of Press Club were the Guest of Honor.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Lalit Magotra President Dogri Sanstha gave detail of the web site and talked about the formation and role the Dogri Sanstha has played from time to time. And, how it met all obligations to see the Dogri language develops in a wholesome manner.
He added that the launching of the web site should be seen in this light. Our Sanstha is trying to meet its obligation, in these times of revolution of media and communication. Further, Dogri Language, Literature and Culture must have its rightful and prominent place in the web world.
He added, "It is a beginning and website is a dynamic entity, over the period more and more information would be added to it to make it all inclusive". Magotra lauded the effort and hard work put in by Prof. Shashi Pathania, the vice president of Dogri Sanstha who spearheaded design and development of the website.
Prof Shashi Pathania demonstrated various functions and aspects of the website during the launch ceremony. And, she also informed the audience that they access the website which is now live at www.dogrisasntha.org.
Zorawar Singh, Chairman Team Jammu, said that whereas the state government is always found to be lacking in its constitutional duty to promote Dogri language which is the second major language of the state. It is the organisation like Dogri Sanstha and the individual Dogri writers who are keeping the flag of Dogri flying high.
