| Former PDP MLC joins NC | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 20: In a major set back to People's Democratic Party, the former party MLC from Kishtwar Syed Asgar Ali today joined National Conference at Jammu in front of party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah, MLC Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, Provincial President Davinder Singh Rana, District President Kishtwar Tanveer Kichloo, District VP Ghulam Rasool Magrey, former DIG Israr Khan and several other party leader.
Syed Asgar Ali resign from PDP in December following which speculations were riping about his joining in Peoples Conference, but today he preferred to join NC at Jammu and his joining has given a major imputes to NC conference not only in Kishtwar District, but also in Doda and Ramban District as Asgar Ali was among the founder member of the PDP and work along with late Mufti Mohammad Syed to establish his party base in Chenab Valley.
He unsuccessfully contested 2008 Assembly elections on PDP ticket, beside also remain member of PDPs strong political affair committee.
On this occasion former PDP leader and Administrator Auqaf Islamia Kishtwar Mushtaq Ahmed Qazi also join the NC. |
