Ex-CPMF welfare association demands martyr status to paramilitary forces

Jammu, Feb 28: Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces welfare association (CPMF) today urged the Government of India to implement OROP (One Rank One Pension) and also provide martyr status to the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) soldiers died in anti-terror operations.
Ex- Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association consisting of BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, CISF and N.S.G Jammu under its President ship of Shashi Sharma President of the Association paid tributes to the soldiers martyred in the recent Pulwama attack. The association also organized hawan for the peace of departed souls
President of the Association while briefing the media said that during a meeting of CCS the Home Minister of India has said that the status of the Martyr's will be given to all BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, CISF and N.S.G who had laid their lives for the integrity of the country like the Defence forces but till date no such status has been given and only it is in the press and Media that the status has been given them.
S.K. Gupta Retired Dy. Commandant has appealed to all Director General's of Para Military Forces to take up the matter with the Home Ministry GOI for giving the martyr Status to BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, CISF and N.S.G on the same pattern which has been adopted for the Defence Forces for which the General public of India too is demanding since long.
