Patronized by Raj Bhawan, now State Govt servants leave PMO, BJP red faced in Jammu | | | Avinash Azad Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 28: The Raj Bhawan has allegedly given such a "free hand" to government servants from Kashmir that now even the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and the ruling Bharatiya Janta Party in the centre are getting red faced by such "anti-national acts" of the employees. Officials said on Sunday when BJP President Amit Shah and minister of state in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh addressed a party rally in Jammu and stressed on the importance of nationalism in the state, a Kashmiri government servant made anti-national comments on TV debate, taking the ruling party head on and also demanded resolution of the so called "Kashmir dispute." The said government servant who was introduced as Mushtaq Hak Sikander has been coming on TV debates despite the concerned authorities being in the know of the matter. Sikander contradicted Dr Jitender Singh and Amit Shah's viewpoint in the TV discussion and said that "Kashmir issue should be resolved." The said government employee who is allegedly close to some political parties in Kashmir has been "regularly seeking resolution to Kashmir issue and abuses New Delhi." Official said he was working in the Directorate of School Education Kashmir but has been "granted leave." Officials alleged that they have been asked by the Raj Bhawan to not to stop such faces from coming on media. "The matter had come to our notice but they (Raj Bhawan) have told us let them do this work. How can you allow a government servant to abuse government, this is violation of the service conduct rules," said a senior official on the condition of anonymity. A Teachers Forum in Kashmir had picked up the matter with the Director Education that if one employee can speak against government, others should also be allowed. "But the officials told us that every employee cannot be given permission to do so and that if we want we can get recommendation from Raj Bhawan," said a member of the forum. When contacted a senior official said that the "matter has already come to our notice." "We may have to pick up the issue with the Raj Bhawan," he said. It is pertinent to mention here that the Raj Bhawan is being accused of giving a free hand to the Kashmiri government servants whereas those from Jammu have been directed to behave properly or face music. "In Jammu even speaking for nation is not allowed but in Kashmir anti national activities are welcome," said government employees in Jammu. Despite repeated attempts the government servant could not be contacted. |
