BLSKS presents musical play "Jago Grahak Jago"

JAMMU, Mar 16 : To observe the World Consumer Rights Day and to promote the traditional folk cultural of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in close coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production & National College of Computer Education presented 252th its regular Saturday Series Musical Play "Jago Grahak Jago" as parts of its regular feature at open air theatre Durga Bhawan Janipur Jammu .
The theme of this year for the World Consumers day 2019 is "Trusted Smart Products". The programme commenced with welcome song "Jag Jag Jag Mada Grahak Mere Jag- Ghode Bechi Sutta Ki Hai Chor Pede Bagg" presented by the artists of BLSKS and lighting of traditional lamp by the Chief Guest / Guest of honors.
The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest VK Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India, Dr Anju Dogra, Health Department, J&K Government, Dr Anupriya Sharma, President Medical Cell J&K were the Guest of Honour. Speaking on the occasion, chief guest said that it becomes essential that the people are aware of their rights, which broadly include.
The right to be protected from all kind of hazardous goods and services, right to be fully informed about the performance and quality of all goods and services, right to free choice of goods and services, right to be heard in all decision-making processes related to consumer interests, right to seek redressal, whenever consumer rights have been infringed & right to complete consumer education. Sh.Magotra also Lauding the role of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan-(NGO) and underlined the importance of staging such plays in all parts of the state to generate awareness among the masses about various social evils through theatre/drama which are still very powerful medium of communication The musical Play "Jago Grahak Jago" written, produced and directed by ML Dogra (Chairman BLSKS).
