Kashmir silent as terrorists make hat trick of innocent killings
3/19/2019 11:18:52 PM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, Mar 19: Even as three persons have been killed by terrorists in south Kashmir in less than a week, the politicians, civil society and other Kashmir leaders who claim to be "champions of human rights" have been silent on the dastardly acts.
Whereas the people across the world have condemned in one voice the attack on worshippers in New Zealand that left fifty innocents dead, these so called champions of human rights in Kashmir are even unwilling to call the killings of innocents in Kashmir as terror attack nor they want to call these killers as terrorists.
The terrorists have killed at least three persons including a woman cop, while the other two are poor civilians including a farmer.
But despite the sudden rise in killing of civilians, the Kashmir is silent on this violation of human rights by terrorists.
From former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to his counterpart Mehbooba Mufti to Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to Syed Ali Geelani, none of them issued a statement to condemn the killings in particular.
The civil society groups including the one headed by wife of a Hurriyat leader has also been maintaining silent. The so called business leaders of Kashmir are also silent.
Sources the Abdullahs and Muftis want to be silent on such developments as its election time "they don't want to offend the terrorists much."
"Election is the time when these mainstream politicians of Kashmir play the card of being pro separatist," said a political analyst in Kashmir.
Various such so called voices of Kashmir are being taken head on by the people on social media.
"Once again blood bath in Kashmir. Three innocents killed in three consecutive days by Terrorists in South Kashmir. Today a labourer Mohsin Ahmad Wani was killed by Terrorists at Tral Pulwama South Kashmir. For how long militants are going to kill kashmiri's for so called Azadi?," Rukiya Mir posted on Twitter.
The said post went viral with many asking why were Abdullahs and Muftis silent.
It is pertinent to mention that whereas both the parties issue regular statements to media, no particular statement was issued over the innocent killings.
Though ahead of the elections Mehbooba and Omar have been speaking against the security forces, they won't seem to displease the terrorists.
Despite repeated attempts they couldn't be contacted for comments.
