JAMMU, Mar 23: Jammu Cricket Club and Samar Cricket Club registered win against their opponents and entered in the next stage in the ongoing Winter Shield T20 Cup which is being organized SCA, J&K Sports Council under the supervision of Dr. Naseem Choudhary, Secretary J&K Sports Council.
The slogan of the tournament is "lets' play together and enjoy T20 Cricket". And the main objective engage youths and students in sports so that they may not derail from the main stream and to provide a professional platform to them to show case their hidden skills.
In the first Match Jammu Cricket Club defeated Raja Warriors Club by runs.
Batting first Jammu Cricket Club scored 156 runs for the loss of 4 wickets with Vivrant 35 runs,Shubam 33 and Surya 32 runs. From the bowling side Puneet, Deepak, jagdev and Nishu took 1 wicket each. In reply Raja club managed to score 65runs for all wickets in 14,3 overs Puneet 21 runs was the top scorer who reached in double figure.From the bowling side Vivrant took 5 wickets, Gurupartap Singh, Aman and Rohit took 1 wicket each. Vivrant declare man of the Match.
In another match Samar Cricket Clud defeated Lakshmi Cricket Club by 1 wicket.
Batting first Lakshmi Cricket Club scored 123 runs for the loss of 7 wickets with Rohan Koul 31 runs, Nipur 22 and Dhruv 21 were main scorers. From the bowling side Kamal took 3 wickets, Gagan took 2 wickets, Aman and Robin took 1 each. In reply Samar club chased the target in 19.4 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. Bandeep 40, Aman 17 and Manpreet 11 runs. from the bowling side Yogesh, Sant Baksh and Monu took 3 wickets each.
Bandeep declare man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Vijay, Dayal and Ashok Kumar.
Tomm fixture: Exhibition match between Media and Secreterait XI at 10.00 am, Road & Safety XI and Singh Akhnoor at 1.00 pm informed by Rajesh Gill.
